I work as a Professional Trauma Counsellor for a Non-Government Organisation. 

 

My aim in setting up my own practice is for it to operate outside my regular working hours - weekends,  to allow appointment times for people who are employed or otherwise unavailable 8-4pm Monday to Fridays. 

 

I am available by phone, to discuss whether you feel I am a good fit for your needs in Counselling.

​My core business has always been trauma, mostly sexual assault, and Crisis Intervention, but I have worked with aggressors and victims of domestic violence; children abused or witness to DV, grief and loss, relationships, behaviour management, parenting, probation and parole clients.  I have mostly worked in child protection/focus areas, but enjoy the challenge of working with adults and adolescents.

I work under a feminist framework (looking at the big picture as well as the crisis; working to enable the underdog) and I utilise play therapy and creative therapies along side narrative and CBT.  In my current role I work with Trauma Focussed Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
